Meet The Whitworths —

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the New Year! William and I, along with our incredible friends and family, are working hard behind the scenes to get Whitworth Family Dentistry up and running. Each week we plan to share with y’all our progress and any updates we may have. To start off, I wanted to share with y’all our journey so far and what brought us to Fredericksburg.

William and I first met on our first day at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry in 2015. The class was put in alphabetical order and I found myself standing right beside a very tall, handsome cowboy with a Texas drawl. We became good friends but didn’t start dating until our senior year. When we were nearing graduation we started planning where we wanted to work and live. Growing up in Katy, I never thought I would leave the suburbs, but William really pushed hard for the hill country. I thought I would miss the city life, but the ranch life won me over. No one in my family could believe it when I told them I moved to a ranch 22 miles from the nearest town. Their jaws hit the floor when I told them I helped castrate calves one weekend. They fainted when they saw a picture of me trying my first ever rocky mountain oyster that night. As nuts as it sounds, they are pretty good.

William and I spent our first three years working apart. Him in private practice and me working at a federally qualified health center. We both have gained valuable knowledge but have always wanted to work together. Since graduating dental school, we had a dream of opening our own practice together, we just couldn’t decide where. We continued to pray for direction and guidance and God opened the door to Fredericksburg for us and we could not be more excited for our future. We look forward to not only providing dental care to the community, but also raising our family here.
